System and Cloud Administrator

We are seeking a System Administrator to join our IT/Operations team. You will be part of a team that combines traditional IT expertise with modern DevOps practices and cloud-native skills. In this role, you will provide technical support to end users, assist in system maintenance tasks, and gain exposure to identity management, cloud platforms, and automation practices under the mentorship of senior engineers.

What you'll do

Systems and IT Support

Provide first-level technical support to end users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Document, track, and follow up on user requests and incidents.
Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes including setting up accounts, devices, and access permissions.

Cloud & Infrastructure Support

Assist senior engineers with monitoring and maintaining AWS workloads.
Support documentation and compliance tracking for cloud systems.
Help ensure proper logging, tagging, and reporting for cloud resources.

Identity & Access Management (IAM)

Support administration tasks in IDP platforms like Okta under supervision.
Assist with user provisioning, deprovisioning, and account changes.
Learn to integrate identity services with Active Directory and cloud tools.

System Administration & Security

Help manage Active Directory user accounts and group policies.
Support patching and updates for Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
Assist in applying security configurations and responding to alerts under guidance.

Networking

Provide basic troubleshooting for network connectivity issues.
Assist with configuration and inventory tracking of network devices.
Learn about firewalls, VPNs, and Zero Trust principles from the team.

What you bring

2+ years of experience or educational background in IT support or system administration in a high tech company.
Hands-on experience with supporting Windows (must), macOS (must), and Linux OSs.
Proficiency with networking concepts and troubleshooting tools.
Basic proficiency with cloud services (e.g., AWS), scripting, and IAM tools.
Basic proficiency with Okta and user life cycle management.
Solid proficiency with Active Directory, and Domain Policy
Basic proficiency with Remote Management Tools (e.g., Jamf, Endpoint Central).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Preferred: Certification that corroborates the skills above and an unstoppable eagerness to learn.
