Verification and Validation Test Technician

Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality that utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death.

Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe, and Israel.

Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, and other types of solid cancers.

We are looking for Verification and Validation Test Technician who will support Novocure’s product development activities by accurately performing test procedures, identifying defects, and reporting test results.

The Verification and Validation Test Technician will support Design Verification, including Hardware & Software Testing.
The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail, experience working with measuring instruments, and experience testing medical devices.

This role will contribute to early prototype evaluations, test method development, design feedback to engineering teams, defect identification, and troubleshooting.

This is a full-time, exempt position located in our Haifa Israel office, and will report to the Verification and Validation Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review, interpret, and execute test plans and test procedures.
Provide feedback to V&V or other engineers to develop and improve test procedures
Report test results and analysis in written reports
Promptly Report defects & anomalies found during testing and help troubleshoot issues.
Prepare the test reports to support regulatory submissions and other project goals
Follow Good Documentation Practices in test reports and other documentation
Appropriately archive test data, ensuring data can be located for future review.
Conduct qualification and validation of fixtures and software tools
Collaborate with Novocure engineering and V&V team members in Israel and US

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

Qualifications:

Technical training or equivalent experience

Knowledge:

At least 1 year of QA experience including product functional testing is preferred
V&V for medical device experience, or similar testing experience, is preferred
Experience documenting results while performing tests, including unexpected outcomes
Experience with measuring instruments (e.g. calipers, DMM, oscilloscope, etc.)
Organized and strong attention to detail, highly motivated, self-learner, and responsible
Able to work in a team environment and execute responsibilities with minimal direct supervision
Critical thinking and decision-making, including the ability to recognize when to ask questions
Understanding fundamental engineering concepts, and basic principles is a plus

OTHERS:

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
