Lab Technician- Student position

Summary of role and team::

The lab technician position is for an entry-level candidate who will be trained to perform crucial lab tasks to support the R&D team, in particular, the lab scale bioprocessing work, such as bioreactor cultivation and filtration. This is a hands-on position, almost all of which is lab-based.

Your day-to-day:

Building, autoclaving, and disassembling experimental equipment such as tubing assemblies, media bottles, filters, glass bioreactors, etc.
Checking and maintaining inventory of lab materials and consumables
Meticulous documentation of data
Opportunities to learn other skills, such as:

- Cell counts and bioanalyzer data

- Monitoring and controlling bioprocess parameters

- Writing protocols and batch records

- Novel systems introduction

- Process optimization skills

The Ideal candidate:

Biotechnology/Chemical engineering (or equivalent), BSc Student, with at least 1 years until graduation.
Availability for 2-3 days a week including weekends (at least 18 hours per week)
Willingness to do lab bench work
Self-motivated, quick learner
Positive team attitude and initiative
