Ubeya is seeking an experienced and visionary VP of R&D to join our dynamic team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing our research and development efforts, driving innovation, and working closely with the product manager to ensure our product offerings align with market needs and business goals.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement the overall R&D strategy to drive product innovation and enhance our competitive advantage in the market.
Collaborate closely with the product manager to define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and align R&D initiatives with business objectives.
Lead and mentor the R&D team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
Product Development:

Oversee the design, development, and delivery of new products and features using technologies such as NodeJS, ReactJS, React Native, AWS, and Kubernetes.
Ensure that products meet customer requirements and quality standards.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of R&D processes.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in product development.
Resource Management:

Manage the R&D budget and allocate resources effectively to optimize productivity and achieve strategic goals.
Build and maintain a high-performing team by recruiting top talent and providing ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in R&D or product development roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position within the tech industry.
Proven track record of successfully leading R&D teams and delivering innovative products to market.
Strong technical background with experience in software development, architecture, and agile methodologies, particularly with NodeJS, ReactJS, React Native, AWS, and Kubernetes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
Experience with SaaS products and HR technology is a plus.
