Principle Developer

A retail tech company in Tel Aviv is looking for a dynamic and skilled Principal Developer / Tech Lead to provide architectural expertise and technical leadership. This role involves designing complex systems and delivering scalable, maintainable solutions while mentoring team members on advanced technical challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software architecture and development, with a proven ability to lead technical decisions and ensure best practices across engineering teams.

Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance back-end systems.
* Collaborate with developers to implement sophisticated features and address complex technical challenges.
* Provide technical leadership, setting standards for development and best practices across teams.
* Work with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product and QA teams, to deliver robust software solutions.
* Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with architectural guidelines and coding standards.
* Mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
* Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for back-end technologies, offering deep technical insights.

Requirements:
* Extensive experience in roles such as Senior Developer, Principal Developer, or Tech Lead.
* Expertise in Ruby, Python, SQL, Linux, and AWS.
* Proficiency in designing systems that integrate seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
* Deep understanding of APIs, microservices, and complex database structures.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and experience leading teams through technical challenges.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional team settings.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud orchestration tools.
* Experience with performance testing and security testing automation.
* Leadership or mentoring experience in an Agile environment.
