About the role:



We are looking for a talented and experienced Team Leader to join our growing Infrastructure group and lead our Core Team. This team is central to our technology stack, responsible for building and maintaining the common code framework, core technologies, data pipelines, and the critical infrastructure used across the company.

As the leader of this backend team, you will work closely with development, research, and product teams, providing the tools and technologies that enable scalable, efficient, and fast development. Your team’s work is key to supporting our product’s complex deployment processes with customers, as well as enhancing developer experience, velocity, and ensuring robust system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend developers responsible for core infrastructure and technologies.
Oversee the development and maintenance of core frameworks and technologies that are in use across various teams (e.g., Kafka, databases, data pipelines).
Collaborate with Product and R&D teams to support their deployment needs and ensure smooth integration with customer environments.
Work closely with DevOps to ensure optimal system performance and scalability.
Drive initiatives to enhance development velocity and the overall developer experience (DevEx).
Ensure that all systems meet high standards of security, performance, and reliability.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements:

Proven experience in leading backend or infrastructure teams.
Strong expertise in core backend technologies
Deep understanding of large-scale systems architecture and deployment methodologies.
Ability to balance multiple stakeholders’ needs (R&D, Product, DevOps) and prioritize effectively.
Experience with developer tooling and improving developer experience is a strong plus.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and team growth.
