Job Description

Versum Materials, a part of the Performance Materials business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, is a best-in-class electronic materials company providing high-purity chemicals and gases, delivery systems & services, and materials expertise to meet the evolving needs of the global semiconductor, display and LED markets.
Versum Materials is seeking a Megasys Technician in Kiryat Gat, Israel.

Primary Responsibilities
The Technician shall be responsible for performing Gas/Chem Operation duties on the Customer site.

The principal duties on the Gas Systems shall include

Gas/Chem System Training – Web Based, Class based and Field Based.
Gas/Chem System Operation
Cylinder/Canister Installation
Gas/Chem Charging from Delivery Systems and Lateral Pipework.
Gas/Chem Turn On to Production Tools from Delivery Systems and Lateral Pipework.

Represent the company in a professional manner and with the highest integrity in all dealings with our customers. Appearance and conduct are expected to be appropriate for the work environment whether at the company or customer site. Company Work wear will be a constituent part of a professional dress code.

This shall be a customer facing role. The candidate must be able to demonstrate a professional, proactive and flexible attitude, all these qualities are necessary for effective communications both internally and with our customers.

Work shall be performed to a very high standard, in accordance with appropriate engineering, operational and safety standards

There may be the requirement in the role to wear Personal Protective Equipment , which could include Self Contained Breathing Apparatus.

There will be the requirement to participate in Versum Materials Safety and Quality processes.

Technology and Tools used in this position:

Gas/Chem Delivery Systems (training will be given)
Hand tools, meters, gauges, and test equipment
Spreadsheet software — Microsoft Excel
Word processing software – Microsoft Word
Customer Computer logging/data base packages.

Education and Experience Required or Desirable:

5 years of related experience in Equipment Operation in a Semiconductor or Chemical environment facility is desired.
Experience with Chemical handling within the Semiconductor Industry, is preferred, however full training will be provided in areas where the candidate has little experience.
Hazardous Material handling and training within a Semiconductor manufacturing environment is desired.
A mechanical trade although desirable is not essential. Appropriate technical qualifications and experience shall be taken into consideration when appointing the suitable individual.

Additional Role Expectations

Provide support and assistance in emergency situations (not as part of Emergency Response Team).
Compliance and active participation in the safety initiatives and requirements of Versum Materials (and any customer supported initiatives).

Language

English Language — Working Knowledge of the structure of the English language is required.

Hours Of Working Options

Day Tech
Sun = 8am – 4pm
Mon-Thu = 8am – 5pm
Shift Tech
4 Shifts = 2 Days 08:00-20:00, 2 Nights 20:00-08:00
4 Days Off
There will be Overtime available and it is expected that the applicant will be reasonably available mid-week and at weekend to allow sharing of this Overtime across the team.
