We know it too.For nearly 30 years, the incredible minds at Cognyte around the world have worked closely together and put their expertise to work, to keep up with constantly evolving technological and criminal trends and help make the world a safer place with leading investigative analytics software solutions.We are defined by our dedication to doing good and this translates to business success, meaningful work friendships, a can-do attitude, and deep curiosity.Nexyte, Cognyte’s Analytics Platform division is looking for a dynamic Engineering Director to join our team in a strategic management role and to help a passionate R&D department scale to the next level.As an engineering director you will be in charge of our core platform with multiple autonomous dev squads/feature teams, as well leading our customer facing Delivery/Professional Services team.You'll also mentor, coach, and nurture the team to achieve high velocity and great quality while keeping a healthy work-life balance.As a Cognyter you will:Work closely with Product, Architects and our other senior R&D leaders to build our product offeringsLead the Delivery and Professional services teams responsible for deploying our product to provide business critical value to our customersDeveloping roadmaps & strategies that accelerate feature development for our teamsLead a passionate, agile engineering team to deliver features and improvements to our product that is high quality, scalable, and secure· Champion an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a coach, mentor, and technical advisorProvide technical expertise throughout all phases of the development lifecycle to help drive the product roadmapRetain, hire and continuously grow top engineering talent teamsProactively identify ways to continually improve the quality of our products and the efficiency of our teamDefining, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators to determine support effectiveness and efficiencyRequirements:For that mission you’ll need:5+ years of Engineering Management experience, leading multiple teams using agile methodologiesCustomer-centric attitude with prior experience working directly with end users, sales and professional servicesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experienceBroad understanding of various cloud development technologies and trends for enterprise-scale, distributed systemsA positive get it done attitude and the ability to effectively prioritize and advance multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to recruit/develop technical team members and inspire/motivate an engineering team to work together as a cohesive and highly productive unit.Passionate about building teams that focus on delivering the best possible customer experience with performance, scalability, security, and efficiency in mindPrior experience with big data analytics, structured and unstructured data and machine learning an advantageRemember: When you're curious enough, you don't need to check every box to apply.
