Nexyte, Cognyte’s Analytics Platform division is looking for a dynamic Engineering Director to join our team in a strategic management role and to help a passionate R&D department scale to the next level.

As an engineering director you will be in charge of our core platform with multiple autonomous dev squads/feature teams, as well leading our customer facing Delivery/Professional Services team.

You'll also mentor, coach, and nurture the team to achieve high velocity and great quality while keeping a healthy work-life balance.

As a Cognyter you will:

Work closely with Product, Architects and our other senior R&D leaders to build our product offerings
Lead the Delivery and Professional services teams responsible for deploying our product to provide business critical value to our customers
Developing roadmaps & strategies that accelerate feature development for our teams
Lead a passionate, agile engineering team to deliver features and improvements to our product that is high quality, scalable, and secure
· Champion an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a coach, mentor, and technical advisor
Provide technical expertise throughout all phases of the development lifecycle to help drive the product roadmap
Retain, hire and continuously grow top engineering talent teams
Proactively identify ways to continually improve the quality of our products and the efficiency of our team
Defining, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators to determine support effectiveness and efficiency

Requirements:

For that mission you’ll need:

5+ years of Engineering Management experience, leading multiple teams using agile methodologies
Customer-centric attitude with prior experience working directly with end users, sales and professional services
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Broad understanding of various cloud development technologies and trends for enterprise-scale, distributed systems
A positive get it done attitude and the ability to effectively prioritize and advance multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to recruit/develop technical team members and inspire/motivate an engineering team to work together as a cohesive and highly productive unit.
Passionate about building teams that focus on delivering the best possible customer experience with performance, scalability, security, and efficiency in mind
Prior experience with big data analytics, structured and unstructured data and machine learning an advantage
