About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated DevOps Team Lead to lead and grow our DevOps team and infrastructure. In this role, you will take ownership over the design, implementation, and management of both CI/CD pipelines, cloud and edge environments infrastructure while ensuring operational excellence across the team. You will balance hands-on technical work with team leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving initiatives that enhance reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
Drive the team’s efforts in designing and maintaining both cloud and edge/on-prem infrastructure, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Oversee and contribute to the implementation of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring solutions.
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS), including services like EKS, EC2, EMR, and Cognito.
Lead the development of robust edge infrastructure, working with Linux, systemd, Kubernetes (Microk8s), and networking for distributed systems.
Ensure smooth integration of edge systems with cloud environments, leveraging modern orchestration and deployment tools.
Drive improvements in observability and monitoring, utilizing tools such as Grafana, Prometheus/Mimir, and ArgoWF.
Promote a culture of reliability and automation by introducing best practices for system uptime, scalability, and disaster recovery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure DevOps processes align with business goals and project requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends and introduce innovative tools and techniques to the team.

Qualifications / Experiences:

5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Proven ability to combine team management and hands-on work.

Hands-on expertise in AWS and Kubernetes

Understanding of Linux-based systems, including subsystems, networking, and containerization.
Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, with experience using GitLab, Helm, Terraform.
Familiarity with monitoring solutions like Prometheus and Grafana to ensure system observability.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of leading cross-functional initiatives.
Experience in building and managing bare-metal kubernetes infrastructure with tools like Microk8s and systemd - advantage.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
