Key job responsibilities
As a Chip Design Engineer at Annapurna Labs (AWS), you’ll participate in real design tasks and contribute to the development of next-generation AWS Nitro hardware. Your responsibilities may include:
* Participate in microarchitecture definition and implement logic blocks and data paths
* RTL coding and debug using SystemVerilog and industry-standard tools
* Support synthesis, timing analysis, and timing-closure activities
* Participate in design reviews, sign-off processes, and tapeout preparation
* Collaborate with Verification and Emulation teams on test plans, coverage reviews, and debug
* Assist with quality and reliability validation
* Work cross-functionally with Product Definition, Verification, Software, and Physical Design teams
You’ll contribute across multiple stages of the chip development cycle - from architecture and coding to validation and production - while working on hardware deployed at massive scale.

You'll engage in semiconductor platform development, working on complex design and verification activities that push the boundaries of cloud computing architecture.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BSc in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science
- Knowledge of Verilog and SystemVerilog
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Tcl
- Experience collaborating with Verification teams
- Familiarity with industry-standard protocols such as AXI, PCIe, Networking, Encryption, or Storage
- Exposure to the end-to-end chip development lifecycle, from design through validation and production
- Familiarity with UVM-based verification environments
