Your Career
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the frontend development of the Data Security team within the Cortex Platform. You will be joining a strong, fast-moving group developing advanced solutions in one of Palo Alto Networks’ most innovative and technically complex areas.

We are seeking a leader who combines hands-on technical depth with managerial excellence to guide a team in building next-generation frontend solutions.

As the leader, you will drive the design and development of systems that classify, protect, and make sense of customer data across multi-cloud environments. You will be responsible for creating exceptional user experiences while maintaining a culture that values clean, scalable architecture and high-quality code.

Your Impact

Team Leadership: Lead, guide, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and strong ownership.

Technical Strategy: Drive the frontend architecture for high-scale data security applications. You will combine managerial duties with hands-on technical leadership, ensuring the delivery of robust, clean, and scalable code.

Delivery & Execution: Be accountable for delivering roadmap commitments with speed and precision. You will translate complex requirements into actionable technical plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Backend teams to deliver impactful features that protect our customers from evolving cyber threats.

System Design: Oversee the development of complex interfaces that visualize and manage data security across distributed cloud architectures.

Qualifications

Your Experience

7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a focus on Frontend or Full-Stack development.

2-3 years of experience managing or leading a software engineering team.

Actively adopt and utilize AI and coding assistants to accelerate development, generate boilerplate, write tests, and optimize code logic, setting a standard for modern engineering efficiency.

Strong collaboration skills with the ability to align cross-disciplinary teams around shared goals.

Independent, proactive, and collaborative team player with a strong ownership mindset.

Technical Expertise:

Hands-on experience with Angular or React is a must.

Experience with TypeScript and JavaScript.

Strong understanding of performance optimizations, modular design, and scalable architecture.

Advantages:

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent military/practical experience.

Proven track record of delivering complex, distributed cloud products end-to-end.

Experience with backend development.

Experience with data visualization libraries.

Background in cybersecurity, data security, or threat intelligence.

Experience working with large-scale applications.
