Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Head of DevOps to lead and expand our DevOps engineering team. This role involves driving the enhancement and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure, improving automation processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our services. As the Head of DevOps, you will be critical in shaping the DevOps culture, guiding technical strategies, and mentoring a growing team. We are looking for someone with previous experience as a Head of DevOps who is eager to continue growing in this leadership role.

Requirements:

5+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer.
At least 2 years of experience in managerial leadership, guiding and mentoring a DevOps team.
Prior experience as a Head of DevOps, with a desire to continue in a leadership role involving hands-on responsibilities.
Proficiency with cloud services (AWS is a must), Kubernetes, and Docker.
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.
Experience with automation software (e.g., Terraform).
Experience leading DevOps processes in a metrics-driven culture.
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
Ability to script in languages like Python & Bash.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development and maintenance of an automated, fault-tolerant cloud environment utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Oversee the monitoring and analysis of infrastructure performance, recommending and implementing improvements to ensure optimal operation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any system issues.
Maintain and enforce security standards across all cloud services and infrastructure.
Drive innovation in DevOps practices, focusing on automation, scalability, and reliability.
