We strive to provide robust, efficient, and scalable solutions that elevate the overall security posture of our clientsWe are seeking a Staff Engineer to join the team responsible for a leading, highly-valued product that focuses on real-time, cloud-based automated hunting, detection and response. This product, Storyline Active Response (STAR)., empowers our customers' security teams. They use it to proactively detect and respond to threats by managing platform detection rules, creating custom detection rules and deploying them in real-time across their entire network or a desired subset.What will you Do?Joining our expanding team, you will be instrumental in designing, architecting, and implementing a multi-disciplinary, cloud-native software platform. This platform will handle vast amounts of data, supporting thousands of users and processing hundreds of billions of events.Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume and low latency applications that handle millions of events per second.Translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture.Participate and collaborate with cross functional teams in the organization to understand the business requirements and to deliver solutions that can scale.Maintain application stability and data integrity by monitoring key metrics and improving codebase accordingly.Understand & maintain existing codebase by regular re-factoring and applying requested fixes and features.Learn new technologies that can solve our huge volume of data and the challenges it poses.Your Toolkit:Your stack: Golang, Java, Python, Kafka, Redis, AWS, GCPOur new components are primarily developed in Go, we also use Python and Java in our current backend environment.Communication between microservices is facilitated using gRPC, REST, GraphQL APIs and Kafka, depending on specific requirements.Our architecture utilizes PostgreSQL for metadata management, complemented by a columnar time-series database. This combination enables efficient storage and retrieval of event data at scale.What experience or knowledge should you bring?8+ years of software engineering experience in at least one high-level programming language (Go, Java or Python)Strong background in distributed data processing microservices, building high-quality, scalable data productsFamiliarity with AWS, Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHubGain a rapid comprehension of the internal mechanisms of new products.Proven capacity to collaborate effectively with both local and remote teams across various time zonesExcellent communication skills, as you'll regularly liaise with product and other engineering teamsA huge plus would be previous experience in developing security-related productsWhy us?You will be joining a cutting-edge company where you will tackle extraordinary challenges and work with the very best in the industry.Study Funds- SentinelOne contributes 7.5% over your base salary (no tax ceiling is applied), and employees contribute 2.5% of their base salaryPension fund- SentinelOne contributes to your pension fund according to local law.
