Now, we’re looking for our first-ever Chief Marketing Officer to take us from a product-led success story to a brand-led growth engine.

About the Role

As CMO, you’ll be the strategic and operational leader of all things marketing at Vitals. You’ll work closely with the founder to define and execute our global marketing strategy across Shopify and beyond - acquisition, retention, brand, content, product marketing, partnerships, and everything in between.

We’re not looking for a generalist with theories. We want a proven marketing leader who has successfully grown a Shopify app before — someone who brings real-world strategies, frameworks, and results, and knows how to leverage AI tools to move faster, test more, and build smarter campaigns.

What you'll do

Although we expect you to tell us what you should be working on, here are some ideas:

Own the entire marketing function—from vision to execution.

Design and lead multi-channel strategies: paid, organic, email, product marketing, affiliates, SEO, video, content, community, etc.

Drive installs, adoption, retention, and LTV.

Build a high-performing marketing org through freelancers, agencies, or future hires.

Position Vitals clearly within the Shopify ecosystem, and expand our visibility across other merchant platforms.

Refine our ICPs, messaging, and storytelling across all surfaces.

Launch bold, brand-defining campaigns and scrappy experiments.

Stay obsessed with performance and constantly push for iteration and growth.

Report directly to the founders and have real ownership over the company’s direction.

What we’re looking for

Proven track record of leading marketing for a Shopify app

10+ years of experience in marketing, including 2+ years in a leadership role.

Deep understanding of Shopify merchants, how they think, and how to reach them.

Hands-on experience using Generative AI tools for marketing (from content creation to automation, campaign ideation, and experimentation.

Strong strategic thinking and willingness to roll up sleeves.

Comfortable leading freelancers/agencies and building a small but mighty team.

Strength in at least one core area (performance, content, partnerships, or product marketing) with a range across others.

Strong communication and leadership skills.
