Senior Quality Assurance EngineerHod HaSharon, Center District, Israel (On-site)
About the role:

AppCard is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead our test automation initiatives and ensure exceptional product quality. In this role, you will shape testing strategies, develop automation frameworks, and work closely with cross-functional teams to identify issues early and streamline the software development lifecycle. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the reliability and performance of our solutions.

What you’ll do:
Own the product’s overall quality, covering all aspects of manual and automated testing
Design and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases covering both software functionality and hardware integration
Execute high-precision manual tests for new features, edge cases, and exploratory scenarios
Review product requirements and technical specifications to provide timely, actionable feedback
Create clear, comprehensive, and reusable test plans and test cases
Plan, prioritize, and manage testing activities across sprints and releases
Identify, document, and track bugs with clarity and completeness
Perform thorough regression testing to validate fixes and ensure stability
Continuously evolve QA processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Collaborate with developers and product managers to define testable acceptance criteria
Monitor and analyze test results, debugging outcomes, and quality metrics to drive improvements
Investigate root causes of defects and contribute to preventive solutions

What you have:
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Proven experience leading QA initiatives or building QA functions from the ground up
Proficiency in writing detailed test plans, test cases, and QA documentation
Solid SQL skills and scripting experience to support automation
Familiarity with hardware interfaces (e.g., USB, serial, network, or proprietary protocols)
Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments, ideally within startups
Excellent analytical and communication skills, including technical writing
