Senior Manager Artificial Intelligence

Position Description:

Lead a team of AI.
Full-time · Mid-Senior level
Be responsible for:

o Lead Artificial Intelligence algorithm development and related algorithms including:

§ Design and implement Machine Learning Algorithms to be integrated into the Company’s key products; Build the new models, evaluate and improve them.

§ Provide technical direction and guidance on algorithm and AI/ML development.

§ Assist team in planning and prioritizing their work.

§ Conduct hands-on research working with noisy and complex data sets; Solve difficult unconventional problems, using advanced AI, ML, DL methods.

§ Help select tools, equipment and infrastructure for prototyping and production environments.

§ Work closely with the cloud solution (CARTONET) team for the development of AI algorithms that will be part of the cloud solution offering.

o Collaborate on data collection, management, and processing of data for algorithm development purposes, including:

§ Working with the clinical research team in order to collaborate with them on data collection.

§ Working closely with the cloud solution (CARTONET) team to receive and potentially manipulate/process the data that will contribute to the AI development.

o Collaborate with different J&J MedTech franchises in relation to AI and Data Science

· Working cross-functionally with many people and departments in the company – R&D, Project Managers, QA and Regulatory

· Drive innovation; promote knowledge and use of new tools

· Developing and building a strong talent

· Build new capabilities leveraging both internal talent and external expertise as required

· Provide scientific expertise to support multiple initiatives while being rooted in strong product-oriented and clinical understanding.

· Provide support for publications, patents and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

Requirements:

· Education – at least MSc in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Physics. PhD – an advantage

· At least 7 years of engineering industrial experience, of which 3 years of AI/machine learning related. Experience in Medical Devices- an advantage

· Experience in leading a team

· Knowledge about the most used machine learning algorithms (e.g. Neural Networks, Ensemble Tree methods, Reinforcement Learning)

· Experience in one or more object-oriented languages, including Python

· Experience with regression/classification problems using Machine Learning and Deep Learning

· Experience in developing cloud-based application; in deep learning, time series analysis or signal processing

· Advantage - Experience with a variety of data sets (Electronic Signals/Images)
