Team Lead – Internal System / Server Administrator Job Summary: The Team Lead – Internal System / Server Administrator will be responsible for leading the internal IT infrastructure team and ensuring the seamless operation, security, and scalability of systems across Poornam Info Vision Pvt. Ltd.This role involves planning, implementing, and maintaining both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, managing internal servers, and supporting future data center initiatives. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, ensure business continuity, and drive the adoption of best practices and automation within the IT ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of system administrators to manage internal IT systems and networks. Administer and maintain Linux and Windows servers, virtualization environments, and network devices. Monitor and maintain network infrastructure – firewalls, routers, switches, and access points. Manage user access controls, system permissions, and security policies across Active Directory, LDAP, and related platforms. Oversee backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime. Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and performance optimizations. Implement and enforce IT security measures, including patching, antivirus, and firewall configurations. Collaborate with internal teams to support deployment, automation, and integration efforts. Maintain detailed system documentation, including configurations, network diagrams, and change logs. Evaluate and recommend new tools or technologies to enhance infrastructure performance and reliability. Participate in the design and setup of data center infrastructure, including server racks, power, cooling, and redundancy planning. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for infrastructure support and maintenance. Report project progress, incidents, and system health metrics to management. Educational Qualification: MCA or M.Sc. Computer Science Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in System, Server, Cloud, or Network Administration, with at least 1–2 years in a team lead or senior-level role Experience in managing Linux and Windows environments in a production setting. Proven track record in team coordination, infrastructure planning, and issue resolution. Exposure to data center setup, migration, or scaling projects is preferred. Technical Skills: Strong expertise in Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) and Windows Server environments. Proficiency in virtualization platforms – Proxmox, VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V. Solid understanding of networking concepts – VLANs/DNS/DHCP/TCP/IP, routing, and firewall configuration Experience with firewall management (Sophos, pfSense, etc.). Hands-on experience with backup and monitoring tools (Site24x7, Zabbix, Nagios). Familiarity with web, database, and mail servers – Nginx, Apache, MySQL/MariaDB, etc. Strong scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) for automation and task optimization. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is an added advantage. Knowledge of Data Center infrastructure – cabling, UPS/power systems, and environmental monitoring – is preferred Soft Skills: Strong leadership, coordination, and mentoring abilities.
