5G PHY Software Senior Team Leader

Ceva is developing the next cellular communication systems, and is targeting a full 5G modem. This work involves programming Ceva various cores, and Ceva Hardware accelerators, using a very sophisticated Software that orchestrates it all, our Physicals Layer Software. The Product is already committed to a few high tier customers!

The Mobile Broad Band Department (MBBU) in Ceva is looking for a motivated and skilled Cellular Physical Layer Software Manager to join our exciting work on this huge effort.

In this role, you will lead one of the most important SW products till it is delivered to its target customer as a “production level” code, and through all product intermediate milestones. As SW manager, you will lead a team of up to 10 engineers which covers the development and the validation of the product, including proving the product quality in simulation environment and on FPGA and according to a formal test plan. You will work with other teams in the department and in other departments to have the best system definitions and HW flows and you will be responsible to define major parts of the SW architecture of the product.

Responsibilities:

Lead the Software team to deliver its product on time and with production level quality!
Work closely with System team , VLSI team , Arch team to understand the SW-HW partitions and flows which should be implemented for the product
Define the SW architecture of the product and lead the team to implement it in most efficient way, considering efficient code, and latency requirements of this embedded system
Work together with MBBU project managers to define and track all project tasks and milestones of the product, and to present a clear progress status constantly
Take decisions of priorities, risk management , and mitigation plans and guide the SW team accordingly

Requirements:

B.Sc in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
5 years or more of experience as software group leader (including team-leaders and with ~ 10 engineers).
Proven experience in Firmware/Embedded Software development and delivery & communication standard experience.
Hard worker willing to face continues daily challenges and high volume scale activities with multi projects execution.
Great communication skills and ability to work in harmony with subordinate, peers, colleagues and stake-holders and drive them toward achieving aggressive goals and milestones.
