Backend Engineer

Responsibilities of the Backend Engineer
Being part of a core team owning an industry-leading Platform.
Designing building, and maintaining high-throughput, multithreaded, distributed elastic-backend systems that handle numerous connections simultaneously.
Conceptualizing and developing architectures to serve hundreds of millions of daily active users.
Fully participating in work planning processes and continuously improving team performance, as well as your own.
Collaborating with other engineering, data science, and product teams and gaining exposure to various technologies and work methodologies.
Qualification of the Backend Engineer:
3+ years of experience developing backend systems using Java/Scala/Kotlin (preferable) or C++/Go
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Passion for designing and implementing large-scale, multi-threaded systems
Proficiently in monitoring and analyzing applications in a production environment
Understanding of Object-Oriented or Functional-Programming design patterns and software engineering Principles
Good understanding of CI/CD processes, from code-review, through deploying to monitoring in Production
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both English and Hebrew
Experience with big data, cloud platforms, or cloud-native systems - a very big advantage
Experience with dockerized applications and K8s - an advantage
