Position Overview:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will design, deploy, and manage scalable systems in our cloud and on-prem environments. You'll implement infrastructure as code, monitor system performance, respond to incidents, and ensure high availability. You'll be a key player in our development and delivery processes, contributing to the company's growth and success.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage scalable, reliable, and highly available systems in cloud or on-prem environments.
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
Define and implement monitoring and observability tools for production systems.
Respond to incidents by diagnosing performance issues, outages, or unexpected behavior, and work towards quick resolutions with a root-cause analysis.
Analyze system performance metrics and bottlenecks to fine-tune services for maximum efficiency and uptime.
Contribute to the improvement of security best practices and policies, including encryption, firewalls, etc.
Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability of critical services
Be a part of the critical path in a fast-growing startup's development and delivery processes.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a DevOps (or Site Reliability) Engineer.
Core understanding of Linux-based Operating Systems
Solid knowledge of networking and security best practices. (A Must)
Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL/OLAP) and their optimization techniques.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and respond to critical incidents swiftly.
Proficient with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (K8s) for managing microservices and application workloads. (A Must)
Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git.
Strong understanding of security and networking fundamentals.
Strong scripting and automation skills.
Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure as code tools.

Advantage if you have:

B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
Experienced with configuration management systems
Experienced with DB Administration such as Postgres/MYSQL/Clickhouse
Experienced with deploying frameworks of software bus using stream-processing such as Kafka.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus/Grafana, ELK.
Experience with repository manager, preferably Artifactory/Nexus
