Research Engineering - FAIR Core Learning & Reasoning

Meta is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Generative Modeling Foundations (GMF) team to lead the engineering aspects of developing new generative paradigms for Language and Media Generative Models.

Research Engineering - FAIR Core Learning & Reasoning Responsibilities:

Design methods, tools, and infrastructure to push forward the state of the art in large language models and media generative models
Adapt machine learning methods to best exploit modern parallel environments and GPUs
Contribute to experiments design, running evaluations, implementing baselines, and organizing results
Maintaining codebases, contribute to publications and open sourcing efforts

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of Software development experience and working with large scale systems
Coding experience in Python and C++
A proactive learner and skilled at navigating unfamiliar systems to identify root causes and implement robust solutions
Skilled in analysis, debugging and performance optimization of complex software architecture
