Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate customer adoption. As a Solutions Architect at AWS you will work directly with customers. We are looking for individuals who are motivated by the opportunity to work backwards from these customers' needs and help them gain competitive edge using AWS. As an experienced technologist and key member of the Account team you will help influence customers' architectural choices across broad use cases involving security, compute, storage networking as well as advanced scenarios involving serverless, analytics, GenAI and AI/ML.

As a part of the role, you will provide exceptional technical design guidance and thought leadership. You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge with the AWS solution architect community. You will also gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture.

Key job responsibilities
* As a key member of the SA team, ensure success in designing, building and modernizing applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
* Provide architectural guidance and recommendations on running applications efficiently and reliably on AWS platform.
* Demonstrated communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas to a non-technical audience with an ability to connect technology with measurable business value.
* Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS while crafting solutions that are designed for deployment in the cloud.
* Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as blogs, white papers, and proof of concepts.
* Share customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS cloud.
* Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS
* In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute strategies to achieve business outcomes through the adoption of the AWS platform.
* Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
* Capture and share leading practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.

A day in the life
You will have the opportunity to help SMB customers accelerate their cloud implementation to modernize their business on AWS. Working with these customers, you will help them transform existing workloads by designing modern target architectures optimized for business agility, innovation, performance, resiliency, cost, security, and more using both native and partner solutions. Our teams focus on understanding customer key business drivers as well as the existing application architecture(s) to deliver a technical recommendation to the customer with a goal of designing a robust cloud architecture that can scale as their business requires.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
