Lead Frontend Engineer

Qmarkets, a leading Innovation & Idea Management Software Company, is looking for a Lead Front End
Engineer to join our amazing global team and work on a product serving over a hundred thousand users in our company’s global enterprise customer base.
Qmarkets is at the forefront of innovation, and we are embarking on an exciting journey to refactor our
existing monolithic system into a cutting-edge microservices architecture. We are seeking a highly skilled
and experienced Lead Front End Developer to join our dynamic team and spearhead the development of
our Single Page Application (SPA) using ReactJS.

About the Position (Description & Responsibilities):

As the Lead Front End Developer, you will be responsible for building and leading the front-end
development from the ground up. You will work closely with our backend team, which uses NestJS,
MongoDB, and GraphQL as the API gateway, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our application and have a significant impact on the overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the front-end development of a new SPA using ReactJS
Design and implement the initial front-end infrastructure and architecture
Collaborate with backend developers to integrate with NestJS, MongoDB, and GraphQL
Ensure high performance and responsiveness of the application
Develop and maintain reusable components and front-end libraries
Write comprehensive technical designs and break down work into manageable chunks for accurate
estimation
Break down functionality into UI components for modular and maintainable code
Perform unit testing using recommended tools such as Jest and React Testing Library
Mentor and guide developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience as a Lead Front End Developer or similar role. (2+ years in lead position; 5-7 years total in front-end development)
Extensive experience with ReactJS and building SPAs from scratch. (5+ years with ReacJS)
Strong understanding of JavaScript/typescript, HTML5, and CSS3. (5+ years)
Experience with performance optimization in SPA environments. (4+ years)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. (5+ years)
Ability to write comprehensive technical plans and designs, breaking complex tasks and estimations (3+ years)

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with GraphQL.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience with JIRA.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with unit testing and testing tools such as Jest and React Testing Library.
Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Familiarity with modern front-end building pipelines and tools.
Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
