Senior Data Engineer (Analytics)

As a senior Data Engineer, you will shape and build the company's data platform from the ground up, develop and maintain the company's data warehouse and reports, while working closely with analysts, data scientists, and business units.

What You'll Do:

Model data entities that stakeholders need: Design and model data entities with a deep understanding of business/product needs
Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines: Use Snowflake with dbt for transformation, and orchestrate pipelines with Astronomer to build end-to-end pipelines from source data to BI tools/Reverse ETL
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Partner with analysts, data scientists, R&D developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product goals and data requirements.
Develop and integrate new data sources: Use Python and SQL to integrate and manipulate new data sources, ensuring seamless incorporation into existing infrastructure which already includes marketing spend, MongoDB, CRM (Salesforce), BI events (Segment), and various APIs.
Own data quality: Track daily data quality alerts to ensure we know about any data issues early. Furthermore, you will create new data quality tests on top of the company's data observability platform (Metaplane).

Who You Are:

Experienced Data Engineer 5+ years in data engineering roles, with a proven track record of handling responsibilities as a senior team member.
BA/B.Sc. in industrial/information systems engineering, computer science, statistics, or equivalent.
Highly skilled in SQL and dbt, with experience working on columnar databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
Deep understanding of ELT principles and the ability to lead the design and develop complex data models
Experienced in designing and executing the entire data pipeline process, from gathering requirements to delivering outputs.
Detail-Oriented Problem Solver - able to discern critical information from noise and deliver clear, actionable results.
Continuously curious and motivated to learn new technologies and methodologies to stay ahead in the field.
