BIM Manager

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As a BIM Manager at Alstom Turnkey, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for railway infrastructure projects. Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective use of BIM tools and methodologies throughout the project lifecycle, from design through construction and operation. You will be a key player in enhancing project efficiency, optimizing design workflows, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

You will also serve as the primary liaison between project teams, clients, and stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration to achieve project objectives. Your technical expertise and strategic vision will be essential in driving innovation and enhancing the overall project delivery process.

(50%): direct and strong relations with the Project team and the subsystems: Electro-Mechanical (E&M) and Civil Work Interface Managers, Design office, subsystems design Managers

External

(50%): to participate at the Co-ordination meeting with the Customer, the External Civil Works Contractors and the Partners

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement BIM strategies and protocols tailored to specific project requirements.
Provide leadership and direction to project teams in the use of BIM tools, ensuring effective adoption and integration.
Collaborate with engineers, and contractors to create, manage, and share accurate BIM models.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance BIM proficiency within project teams.
Monitor and evaluate project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in BIM technology and methodologies and incorporate them into project practices.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience as a BIM Manager or in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry, preferably in railways or transportation projects.
Strong proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related tools.
Excellent knowledge of BIM standards and protocols, such as ISO 19650.
Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional, Autodesk Certification) are a plus.

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

Master University Degree in Engineering

Experience

At least 3-4 years of experience in Engineering / Technical functions on project.
Must have Knowledge of civil or electrical design experience, especially for those involved in the installation and interfaces with the Civil Works
Must have in-depth working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks + ProjectWise
Experience of integration in Railway

Railway knowledge is appreciated,
Possess Excellent communications and organizational skills
Capability to collaborate with other modellers from any system
Proactively coordinate with Project teams
Able of modifying models or CADs from the model
Able to execute multidisciplinary metadata checking
Able to execute multiple system design coordination, clash detection or volume clearance checking
Understanding of the CDE codification and processes,
Fluent in English and Contract language.

Location: The position is located in the northern region of Israel
