Location: Israel Remote and in person 1-2 days a week Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (based on experience and availability We are looking predominantly for american operating hours (IST 3pm-10pm) and some other times for work not involving interaction with the USA Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Biller / Payroll & Bookkeeping Specialist to join our all-virtual mental health group practice. This role is critical to ensuring timely insurance reimbursement, clinician payroll processing, and financial oversight through spreadsheets and light bookkeeping. The ideal candidate has experience working in mental health billing, is organized, proactive, and communicates clearly with the rest of the administrative team. Key Responsibilities: Medical Billing Submit and track insurance claims across multiple carriers (including Medicare/Medicaid, Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Optum/UHC, etc.) Ensure timely and accurate posting of EOBs and client payments Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve claim denials and rejections Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on aging claims (A/R reports) Maintain accurate billing records and reconcile monthly payments Communicate regularly with insurance representatives for eligibility, authorizations, and clarifications Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in medical billing (preferably mental health) Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., TherapyNotes, SimplePractice, or equivalent) Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets Experience processing payroll and/or using payroll platforms like Paychex Strong communication and problem-solving skills High attention to detail, self-driven, and deadline-oriented HIPAA compliant and understands client confidentiality
