QA Team Lead

Nova is looking for a QA Team leader who will lead the quality assurance of Nova SW products.

In this role, you will be on manual QA for Nova products that involve Servers, Big Data, and Machine Learning systems. Automation background – big advantage.

As a quality leader, you will coordinate all QA project-related release activities, including automation priorities, using modern Agile/Scrum methodology.

Requirements:

An academic degree in engineering or exact sciences (BSc.) - must
6 years of experience as a QA team leader of at least 5 members – must.
Wide knowledge and experience in Agile/Scrum and QA methodologies and knowledge in at least 1 programming language - must.
Experience in testing at least one of the below -must:
Servers and Databases
Machine learning systems
Big Data systems
Experience in testing multidisciplinary systems preferred in the semiconductor industry

MS SQL
PostgreSQL
Linux
Cloudera
Micro Services
Kubernetes

Skills:

Self-initiative, highly motivated, ability to motivate others, committed.
Experience in growing her/his skill set of the team and bringing the team to excellence
Ability to understand complicated systems and perform investigations within system components.
Drives a culture of continuous improvement in the team as well as at a group level.

Role Responsibilities:

What you will be doing

Manage a team of testers and continuously improve the team’s outcome. Generate team pride.
Plan and execute version testing and releases, in Agile/Scrum methodology.
Coordinate and own all activities requiring SW version release.
Write high-level and detailed test plans and execute them (50% Hands-on).
Manage QA activities: Testing, updating plans, Issue status reports, Manage bugs meetings.
Plan and manage Beta test activities (on customer sites).
Conduct the ‘Lesson Learned’ process and execute the derived corrective actions.
