About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled IT Automations & AI Expert to join our dynamic IT department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing and implementing automation solutions and integrating AI systems to streamline business processes. You'll leverage your coding expertise in Python and JavaScript, and your hands-on experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, Workato, or similar tools to drive innovation across our organization. This position will report to the IT Manager.

What you'll do:

Develop Automation Solutions: Design, build, and implement automation workflows using platforms like Zapier, Workato, and other similar tools.
AI Integration: Integrate AI systems into existing IT frameworks to enhance operational efficiency and data-driven decision making.
Custom Coding: Write and maintain scripts and applications in Python and JavaScript to support automation and AI initiatives.
Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and AI enhancements across various business processes.
Optimize Systems: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automation workflows and AI integrations to ensure reliable performance.
Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support for automation and AI systems, addressing challenges and implementing improvements.

What you'll need:

Coding Proficiency: Demonstrated experience (3 years minimum) coding in Python and JavaScript with a portfolio of projects or contributions. Proficient with Git. Experience with implementing OAuth authentication flows
Automation Expertise: (3 years minimum) Hands-on experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, Workato, or other similar tools. Working with various APIs and creating connectors and advanced workflows.
Proven experience with helpdesk portal automations and chatbots.
AI Knowledge: Familiarity with AI coding assistants like Cursor, Claude Code etc. Proven experience in creating projects using OpenAI API development, Anthropic, Google Vertex or Amazon bedrock. Experience with RAG and implementation of MCP servers
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a knack for designing effective technical solutions.
Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse, cross-functional team.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling clear documentation and effective teamwork.
