DevOps Group Manager

About The Position

The DevOps Group Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a few DevOps teams, developing and maintaining the software infrastructure and tools needed for continuous integration and deployment, with a strong emphasis on cloud technologies. he will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, testing, and operations.

Requirements

• 4–5 years of proven DevOps experience and 2–3 years of leadership, with strong business acumen and a strong emphasis on cloud-native architecture and technologies, especially AWS.

• Deep understanding of DevOps methodologies, software development lifecycles, and familiarity with a wide range of cloud-native and AI-driven DevOps tools (e.g., AIOps platforms, automated runbooks, ML-based monitoring).

• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and manage a team with strong cloud and AI expertise.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the DevOps strategy and roadmap for the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Identify and implement improvements to the software development lifecycle, including automation of testing, deployment, and release processes (strong focus on cloud-based solutions).

• Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud-related fields and apply these to the organization as appropriate.

• Manage the infrastructure and tools required for continuous integration and deployment in the cloud, including monitoring and alerting systems (focus on cloud-based abilities and expertise such as AWS).

• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the DevOps engineers.

• Mentor and develop team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

• Collaborate with other stakeholders, including QA, security, and operations teams, to ensure that the software is delivered on time and meets the expected quality standards.

• Develop and maintain relationships with cloud vendors and service providers to ensure that the organization has access to the latest cloud tools and technologies.
