About the Role

We’re looking for a Team Leader to build a new engineering team and an innovative product from the ground up. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a startup-like environment, enjoys technical challenges, and is excited about shaping a product’s architecture and development strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Lead & mentor a high-performing development team in building advanced, scalable software solutions.
Recruit, mentor, and grow a team of engineers.
Architect & implement microservices-based solutions with high availability and fault tolerance.
Develop & optimize backend services using Node.js (TypeScript, NestJS/Express) and frontend applications with React along with state
management solutions (Redux, MobX, etc.)
Ensure scalability & performance by optimizing distributed systems and database architectures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA engineers, Product Managers, Project Managers, and UI/UX Designers, to ensure seamless development and delivery of high-quality products.
Work closely with QA to implement best practices for testing and automation, ensuring high software quality and reliability.
Coordinate with Product Managers to align development with business priorities and roadmap planning.
Work alongside the Project Manager to track progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of features.
Stay updated on the latest trends in distributed computing and modern software development.
REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have:

At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in both backend and frontend development.
Strong knowledge of Node.js (TypeScript, NestJS) and React (NextJs).
2+ years of leadership experience including mentoring and team building
Proven experience in launching products from scratch.
Strong background in microservices and distributed systems.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, and Kubernetes.
Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and observability tools.

Advantage:

Familiarity with Nx platform for monorepo management.
Familiarity with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Previous work in fast-paced startup environments.
Experience with Webpack, Vite, Babel, and other frontend build tools.

Education and Experience

BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field — or equivalent practical experience.
