Economist

We are hiring an Economist that will Monitor Area’s cash related controls, KPIs, Agents’ reporting, Control improvements, monitoring of SOX process and internal audits. Financial responsibility and control over the Agfa countries under the region responsibility.

Main Tasks:

Treasury

Monitor and report agencies bank balance (including ongoing review of bank transactions)
Monitor remittances from agencies
Review Cash Flow forecast
Monitor bank guarantees
Monitor Signatory rights Credit control review
Monitoring of Bank “go live” (Citi project)

Agency control

Monitor Area’s KPI
Responsibility for the Area SOX procedures
Implementation of new controls and initiation of process improvements
Support internal Audits

Financial reporting and closing

Agfa closing – in charge of monitoring the process and reporting of Agfa countries
Quarterly period closing controls

General

Assist in Ad hoc projects
Back up for budget process
Quarterly review of container deposits



Requirements:

Education – bachelor’s degree in economics
Knowledge of banking - advantage
Knowledge of IT systems (especially Excel, PowerPoint & SAP) & controls - advantage
High command of English – conversation, reading and correspondence
