Novocure is a biomedical company that develops a revolutionary treatment for cancer based on the use of electric fields.

The researcher will be part of the animal studies team in the preclinical department.
This position includes basic scientific research in animal cancer models to support the clinical pipeline and to characterize the anti-tumor effect of alternating electric fields.

Temporary position for 9 months

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Effective experimental planning, preparation of protocols, performing experiments according to protocol, results documentation and analysis, preparation of a summary report in accordance with the highest scientific standards.
Responsible for performing experiments according to good laboratory practice.
Support other activities in the preclinical research team as required.
Maintain the research facilities according to the required standard.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in biological sciences

Knowledge:

Authorized and experienced in working with animals
Experience in working with cultured cells
Strong background in cancer research
Experience in animal cancer models- advantage
Experience in flow cytometry- advantage
Experience in histology methods- advantage
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Excellent technical and analytical skills
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Meeting tight deadlines

OTHER:

Willing to work with animals (Rodents)
Willing to work at unusual hours
High teamwork skills
Written and oral communication skills
