Global Budget Management & Control Manager

We have a challenging career opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced budget control manager to join our global finance organization as Global Budget Management & Control Manager .

The Global Budget Management & Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of budget planning, control, and reporting for the organization. This includes all operational expenses (OPEX) and P&I Capital expenditure. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial discipline and alignment with the company’s strategic goals. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including HQ functions, operations and commercial to optimize resource allocation, identify cost-savings opportunities, and ensure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Budget Planning & Forecasting:
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, including OPEX, P&I CAPEX, and regulatory expenses, in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
Collaborate with senior management, finance teams, and department heads to ensure comprehensive, accurate, and realistic budget planning.
Conduct scenario analysis and provide recommendations to senior leadership to drive business decision-making.
Expense Control & Monitoring:
Continuously monitor expenses against approved budgets and forecasts.
Implement effective budget control mechanisms to track and manage expenditures, ensuring that all departments adhere to budget limits.
Identify and investigate variances, providing insights and corrective actions to address potential over-expenditures.

Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare regular financial reports, providing detailed analysis and insights for senior management.
Present budget performance reports, highlighting key financial metrics, variances, and any corrective actions being taken.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting in line with corporate and statutory requirements.
Prepare quarterly/monthly – actual vs. estimated costs
Developing Tools, Procedures, and Processes:
Lead the development and implementation of standardized tools, procedures, and processes to improve budget control and financial tracking across the organization.
Develop automated systems and templates for efficient budget planning, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Work closely with the IT and finance teams to enhance existing financial systems and design new solutions that streamline budget control functions.
Establish and maintain best practices for expense management, ensuring that all departments adhere to defined processes for financial reporting, budget approvals, and spending controls.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for financial operations, identifying opportunities to enhance data accuracy, reduce manual effort, and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as a liaison between the finance department and other business units, ensuring alignment on financial goals, budgetary constraints, and financial performance.
Provide support to other departments in understanding financial data and making informed decisions based on budget and forecast insights.
Leadership & Team Management
Manage budget control team members and develop their skills and capabilities.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment that encourages cross functional team support and continuous improvement.
Internal Controls & Audit:
Ensure that adequate internal controls are in place for budget approval, expense reporting, and capital investment processes.
Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all financial and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
CPA or advanced degree is an advantage

Experience:

10+ years of experience in budget control, financial planning, and analysis, including management roles.
Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly within crop protection or other regulated industries, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of OPEX, CAPEX, and regulatory budgeting processes.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced financial modeling tools.

Specific technical knowledge:

Strong analytical, financial modeling, and forecasting skills .
Proven ability to develop and manage budgets, providing detailed analysis and actionable insights .
Proficiency in financial reporting tools (ERP systems, SAP, etc.).
Full fluency in English and Hebrew
