System Engineer (Energy)

About The Position

mPrest is seeking a System Engineer to join a System Engineering and Product group and lead the design for a product group in energy production and trade, mainly (but not limited to) the Israeli regulations.

The products include forecasting of production, consumption & load, planning and optimization, and interface with both renewable and conventional production facilities.

The position requires very good understanding of electrical production and distribution systems, along with background on the market regulations and trading arena.

In this position, you will engage with the customers (producers & suppliers as well as IEC & Noga, and C&I consumers), product, R&D and delivery.

Requirements
Experience in Designing algorithms for optimization - Must.
Experience in System Design and Architecture.
2+ years of experience with real-time systems and communication protocols.
Experience in managing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch activities.
Proficiency in creating product roadmaps and aligning them with business objectives.
2+ years of experience in Write requirement (SRS) and detailed design documents (DLD) for software developers.
UI/UX skills: Proven project history of UI mockups and experience with wireframe solutions.
Experience in Israeli energy market regulations (AMOT HAMIDA) – Advantage.
Knowledge in Data Science & ML-OPs
Knowledge in coding languages (Python, java) – Advantage.
understanding of electrical distribution systems – Advantage.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) – must.
Product management experience – Advantage
Bachelor’s or master's degree in electrical engineering/computer science .

Nice to have:

Knowledge in Agile methodology.
Experience with AI and machine learning applications in energy management.
Knowledge in power flow solutions for electrical networks (OpenDSS).
