Certifications and Sustaining Engineer

Job Description

· Support and lead the certification process for ACS products

· Perform certification testing at external facilities

· Write certification documents

· Support on going design changes to products and their impact on certification

· Design and support high level functional safety features in ACS products

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Manage the implementation of various certification processes for products in ACS Production, MRP and documentation systems

· Own and manage the changes in the product life cycle that involves certification variations

· Monitor that changes to the product via ECOs are taking into account impact on certifications

· Own and participate in periodical inspections

· Participate in new product introduction, be part of the team which addresses and owns certifications aspects of new and existing products

· Develop a standard-based specific checklists per certification process

Requirements:

Required Knowledge and Experience

· Electronics Practical Engineer or Manufacturing Engineering Practical Engineer/Engineer

· Proven experience in HW development and testing

· Experience in formal certification processes (CE, UL, MIL, FDA, FAA etc.)

· Basic knowledge of the relevant standards – CE, UL, Functional Safety

· Proven ability to manage and monitor projects in a matrix-based environment

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Good verbal and written proficiency in English
