Senior Web Designer (Maternity Leave Replacement)

Atera is seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Web Developer to join our Marketing Squad. As a Senior Web Developer, you will play a key role in developing new assets, maintaining and enhancing Atera's main website and subdomains, supporting our marketing activities, and contributing to our overall digital presence. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of technologies and collaborate closely with the Marketing and Design teams, as well as a team of experienced developers.

What you’ll do

Design Leadership & Vision
Define and maintain Atera’s web design strategy, ensuring all experiences are user-friendly, visually compelling, and conversion-focused.
Own web design as a discipline, exploring innovative solutions to enhance engagement, conversion, and brand value.
Lead UX Research
Act as a subject matter expert for web design across the company and maintain consistency of web design rules.
Manage the end-to-end design process: ideation, UX/UI, prototyping, development support, QA, and launch.
Deliver pixel-perfect Figma files and maintain a scalable and consistent design system (components, auto-layout, variables, Figma Motion).
Implement SEO best practices and semantic HTML structures for optimized performance.
Use data-driven insights (A/B tests, heatmaps, analytics) to iterate and optimize continuously.
Work closely with Marketing, Content, and Dev teams to align web priorities with business objectives.
Ensure deliverables meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Collaborate effortlessly with stakeholders across the organization, turning complex requirements into elegant solutions.
Mentor and train web designers, elevating their skills in tools such as Figma and AI-powered design workflows.
Conduct workshops on UX/UI principles, design systems, and new methodologies

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design
7+ years of experience as a web and mobile-first designer
Strong skills in Figma, proficiency with Adobe Suite, and familiarity with HTML/CSS/JS (a plus)
Solid understanding of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.)
Experience using AI tools to accelerate workflows, boost creativity, and optimize processes
Ability to anticipate the impact of design decisions on brand and business
Comfortable working cross-functionally, balancing independence with teamwork, and communicating clearly
Takes ownership, values quality over speed while adapting quickly, and thrives in a dynamic, growth-focused environment
