JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who is both technically adept and passionate about problem-solving, automation, and collaboration. If you're a seasoned developer turned DevOps enthusiast who excels in challenging environments, we want to hear from you!

Primary Job Functions:

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Architect, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure using Terraform, Kustomize, and Helm.

Ensure reliability and repeatability in environments through code-driven infrastructure solutions.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Argo CD.

Automate application builds, tests, and deployments for faster, more consistent releases.

Cloud-Native Expertise

Manage AWS resources and utilize CNCF tools for efficient Kubernetes operations.

Continuously refine cloud-native strategies to optimize costs and performance.

Microservices Support

Collaborate with development teams to deploy and optimize microservices built with Spring Boot, Node.js, TypeScript, and React.

Implement best practices for microservices communication and fault tolerance.

Cluster Management

Use Kustomize, Istio, and Argo CD for Kubernetes cluster operations and advanced traffic routing.

Maintain a resilient service mesh and secure service-to-service communication.

Monitoring & Observability

Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and telemetry using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.

Set up alerting and dashboards to ensure rapid detection and resolution of issues.

Database Management

Handle provisioning and scaling of databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Kafka.

Ensure data reliability, availability, and performance.

On-Call Support

Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to handle urgent incidents.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues swiftly to maintain high availability.

Collaboration

Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES

DevOps Experience: At least 5 years in DevOps roles with proven hands-on expertise:

Kubernetes, Helm, and Kustomize for application orchestration.

Building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

AWS cloud services for infrastructure and application hosting.

Microservices architecture and frameworks (Spring Boot, Node.js).

Programming Experience: Strong development background in one or more of the following:

Java, Go, JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, or React.

Cloud-Native Proficiency: Experience deploying and managing CNCF tools at scale.

Database Administration: Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB administration.

Version Control & GitOps: Expertise in managing repositories and workflows with GitHub.

NICE TO HAVE

Familiarity with Backstage (developer portals) and Crossplane (cloud resource management).

Advanced understanding of Istio for service mesh and ingress control.

Experience with Windows-based environments, IIS, and MSSQL for our legacy systems.

Familiarity with multi-tenant architectures and dynamic scaling.

Knowledge of disaster recovery strategies and tooling.

Mobile build and deployments, Expo, Apple, Google.
