Field Application Scientist (FAS)

We’re looking for a Field Application Scientist (FAS) to bridge the worlds of science, technology, and clinical impact.

In this role, you’ll be the scientific face of Franklin — empowering our global community of clinicians, researchers, and geneticists to make confident decisions using our platform.

You’ll combine deep genetic and clinical expertise with a passion for solving complex, real-world problems, helping users transform data into actionable insights that improve patient care. Working closely with product, data, and engineering teams, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our users experience the Franklin platform and how their feedback drives innovation at scale.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

Strong understanding of clinical genomics workflows and variant interpretation.

Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to translate technical details into meaningful context for diverse audiences.

Hands-on mindset and curiosity to explore both scientific and technical aspects of the platform.

Collaborative spirit — comfortable working across product, data, and commercial teams in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.

Experience with Project Management frameworks.

Native-level English.

Nice to have:

Experience with scripting (e.g., Python, BASH) or data analysis tools.

Prior experience in a customer-facing, technical support, or training role.

Familiarity with clinical genomics software platforms or molecular diagnostics environments.

Fluency in additional languages besides English.
Act as the expert liaison between our users and our technology — translating clinical needs into practical solutions.

Lead onboarding, training, and enablement sessions that help clinicians and researchers unlock the full power of Franklin’s tools and data.

Collaborate with product and R&D to bring user insights from the field into platform evolution and roadmap discussions.

Support customer success and sales teams in demos, technical discussions, and solution design.

Develop educational and scientific content that helps scale knowledge across the Franklin user community.

Ensure a smooth and impactful user experience — from the first demo to confident daily use.

Manage technical projects (i.e., evaluations, implementations) according to deadlines and provide visibility and alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
