We are looking for an experienced Director Of DATA to join our product department. you will be responsible for overseeing the company's data strategy, management, and analytics initiatives. Reporting directly to the VP of Product, this role involves leading an indirect and direct team of data professionals, driving data-driven decision-making, and building the company's data infrastructure. The Director of Data will play a crucial role in leveraging data to optimize business processes and drive innovation across the organization.You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust data pipelines, data warehouses, and data models to support the company’s growing analytical needs.

Job Description

Develop and implement data strategies and initiatives to support the company's overall goals and objectives.
Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and security.
Design, Implement, and maintain data pipelines from different sources in the organizational data warehouse
Manage data engineering team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data needs and requirements.
Design and maintain data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Identify and implement data quality improvement initiatives to enhance data accuracy and reliability.
Ensure proper data integration and transformation across all systems
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data management and analytics technologies.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive business decision-making.
Collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to develop and deliver data-driven reports, dashboards, and visualizations.

Requirements:

7+ years of management experience in data management and data analytics roles
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
Proven track record of building and scaling data infrastructure
Knowledge of cloud platforms
Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lake architectures, and ETL processes
Strong business acumen with ability to translate data insights into business value
Hands-on expertise in programming languages (Python, SQL)
Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams
Experience with business logic tool (e.g. Airflow, dbt)
Experience with BI Visualization tools, Tableau is a plus
Experience with big data technologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellence in stakeholder management and communication skills
