*Role Overview:* In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to dive into our multi-faceted projects across both front-end and back-end technologies. You’ll deal with real-world technical complexities, engage in transforming legacy systems, and innovate solutions within a vibrant team environment.

*Responsibilities:*
* *Back-End Development:*
* Enhance and maintain our LAMP(ish) stack, transitioning towards improved modern infrastructures.
* Work on optimizing our MySQL database by integrating best practices and key database optimizations.
* Modernize and refactor our existing Laravel PHP codebase.
* *Front-End Development:*
* Streamline our multiple React applications towards a unified and efficient user experience.
* Utilize SCSS for design implementations and engage in refining our customer-facing and internal-facing interfaces.
* Tackle the challenge of converting static sites to better-suited technology stacks.
* *Infrastructure & Operations:*
* Assist in evolving our deployment practices, incorporating CI/CD with Woodpecker or GitLab.
* Support the migration to a more reliable hosting setting, improving the current SiteGround setup.
* Adopt containerization or other tooling to establish reproducible development environments.
* *Collaborative Teamwork:*
* Attend the office during work hours and actively engage in pair programming and daily standups.
* Align with team best practices, including coding style guides, Git workflows, and project management processes.
* Contribute positively to team culture by sharing knowledge, solutions, and even the occasional programming meme.

*Non-Technical Requirements:*
* Ability to work on-site with a "Manager of 1" mindset; efficiently manage your tasks and responsibilities without micromanagement.
* A team player who collaborates effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
* Receptive to feedback, willing to learn, and open to instructions and changes in requirements.
* Demonstrate resilience; able to switch contexts and tasks easily and handle constructive criticism gracefully.

*Qualifications:*
* Experience with PHP, React, and database management (MySQL).
* Knowledge of modern development practices like TDD, CI/CD, and decoupled architecture.
* An understanding of site and server administration, including server deployment and infrastructure management.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
