Budget & Cost Control Manager – Project Development

We are looking for a Budget & Cost Control Manager to oversee the financial performance of our development project portfolio. Working closely with the Division VP and the department's Project Development Managers, and alongside the PMO, you will support management decisions and ensure financial discipline across the portfolio. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering and Management, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in budget control, cost control or FP&A, preferably in infrastructure, construction or energy projects. Experience in project-based budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis. Proven ability to review financial models and translate financial data into actionable insights. Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools. Experience working with multiple stakeholders, with excellent communication and presentation skills. High level of spoken and written English. Advantages Experience in the renewable energy sector and familiarity with project development processes (a significant advantage). Experience working with financial models in the energy or infrastructure sectors. Responsibilities: Take responsibility for the control of project financial models at each stage of development, ensuring that their outputs and assumptions are reliable. Lead cross-project budget monitoring and cost control as a key financial partner to the department's Project Development Managers. Identify and raise gaps, deviations and risks in budgets and financial models, and follow up with stakeholders until they are resolved. Review budgets and cost estimates before management approval, and manage project cash flow forecasts. Analyze project economics to support project prioritization. Work alongside the PMO on an ongoing basis to keep project financial information and processes aligned. Review vendor and consultant proposals, and maintain a database of service providers and pricing benchmarks. Prepare and present regular reports, dashboards and insights to the Division VP, and maintain the supporting BI tools. Set and implement standards for the department's planning, reporting and control processes.
