Customer Engineer, Apigee, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Candidates will typically have 6 years of experience with API, security, solution and pre-sales in cloud domain.

Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in areas such as API management, application integration (iPaaS), security, PaaS.

Experience with legacy and modern application development, container orchestration systems, middleware technologies, or other applicable platforms.

Knowledge of security and API security technologies such as OAuth, mTLS, SAML, JWT, and SSO.

Understanding of Google Cloud, multi/hybrid-cloud strategies, and associated technologies.

As a Customer Engineer, you will have an opportunity to influence and lead enterprise customers on Google Cloud’s Business Application Platform (BAP), including Apigee API Management, Advanced API Security and Application Integration. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business issues, and problem-solve any potential technical roadblocks.

Responsibilities
Provide API management, Application Integration, Security, and other application modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with Google’s customers.

Work with the account team to identify, qualify business opportunities, understand key customer requirements, and develop a strategy to achieve a technical goal.

Develop proofs-of-concept, presentations, and demos with a clear plan to take a prospect through the evaluation process.

Partner with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
