Legal Counsel

What is this opportunity?
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Counsel to join Eleos as the company’s first in-house legal hire. As a standalone role, you will have the unique opportunity to build and shape the legal function from the ground up, handling a broad range of legal responsibilities while helping Eleos scale its operations globally. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will serve as a trusted advisor across the organization, providing guidance on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. This role has the potential to grow into leading a legal department as Eleos continues to expand.

What You’ll Do:

Act as a strategic partner to the GTM team, providing legal support to enable deals and streamline the contracting process with customers and partners.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS, licensing, vendor contracts, NDAs, and technology agreements.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and business development teams to identify legal risks and provide pragmatic solutions that drive business outcomes.
Ensure contracts are structured to align with company goals while mitigating risks and adhering to legal and regulatory standards.
Support the development and implementation of efficient processes for contract negotiation and execution to accelerate deal cycles.
Advise on data protection, privacy, and compliance matters, particularly in the context of SaaS and healthcare-related agreements.
Develop and protect the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks and copyrights, while addressing IP-related issues.
Act as the primary liaison with external legal counsel for specialized legal matters, managing relationships and budgets effectively.
Stay up-to-date on legal developments in SaaS, AI, and privacy laws to ensure proactive compliance and readiness for new regulations.
Provide cross-functional legal support, including for product, R&D, and operational teams, to align legal considerations with business objectives.

Requirements

What You Have:

At least 10+ years of legal experience, with significant experience in drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements.
Proven ability to support sales or GTM teams as a legal partner, acting as a deal enabler while managing legal risks effectively.
Deep understanding of SaaS, technology, and data privacy regulations, particularly in a B2B environment.
Strong business acumen, with the ability to balance legal considerations with commercial priorities and outcomes.
Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Experience working in or advising high-growth technology companies; in-house legal experience is strongly preferred.
Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
LLB degree with a license to practice law in Israel or equivalent credentials.Advantage if has experience in practising law in the US.
A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and build processes from scratch.
Collaborative mindset and ability to engage with stakeholders across functions and at all levels of the organization.
