Participating in the preparation of development portfolio including literature search, analysis of previous production batch files, analytical assays, and required documentation for GMP projects.
Bacteriological / cell culture sterile work.
Preparation of Bacteriological growth media and buffers
Carrying out a whole fermentation process starting with strain inoculation through fermentation stage and up to harvesting step.
In process control of the fermentations using microscopy, OD, UV, HPLC and SDS-PAGE
Fermentation process development of products under technology transfer from other sites
Write/ update MMFs
Prepare technology transfer reports.
Documentation of the manufacturing process.
Administration of manufacturing costs through Ma’ale and SAP systems.
Sign production protocol (MMF’s)
Sign development protocols & reports
Sign PD deliverables reports
Approve production SOP’s

INTERNALLY:

Quality assurance team
Quality control team
Maintenance and engineering team
Warehouse team
Procurement
Production departments in research facility

QUALIFICATIONS

M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Microbiology or Biotechnology.
Fluent English and Hebrew

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Excellent knowledge of microbiology and biotechnology of bacteria, fungi and yeast.
Experience in fermentation processes development of 2 years.
Experience with microbial media optimization.
Knowledge of fermentor operation.
Knowledge of analytical methods such as: microscopy, SDS-PAGE and HPLC - Advantage.
Knowledge of product recovery methods
Operation of large volume fermentors– Advantage
Understanding the drug development process and technologies within the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry – advantage.
Works in cGMP environment – advantage
