Backend Team Lead

We are seeking a Backend Team Lead to lead our Car Services team, which owns mission-critical backend systems such as Fueling, EV and Car wash. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise with people management. You will guide a team of backend engineers to build reliable, scalable, and secure services that power the core of Pango’s platform.

Requirements:

6+ years of backend engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
Strong expertise in distributed systems, high-scale architectures, and backend frameworks (e.g., Java, .NET, Go, Node.js — adjust to Pango’s tech stack).
Solid understanding of databases, API design, and system integrations.
Proven ability to lead engineering teams, mentor individuals, and foster collaboration.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience in fintech, mobility, or transactional systems is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, fostering technical growth and career development.
Own the architecture, design, and implementation of backend services for Core Experience.
Ensure high system reliability, scalability, and performance in a high-volume production environment.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Mobile, Data, and Infrastructure teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
Provide hands-on technical guidance, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
Align team roadmap with business goals, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
