We're looking for a Back-end Engineer to help us rapidly expand the services we provide to our ever-growing customer base. Madlan is a real estate platform revolutionizing the way people buy and rent new homes, by empowering them with knowledge. As a leading marketplace and a valuable tool for agents, Madlan provides useful information using big data algorithms and artificial intelligence. Founded in Tel Aviv, Madlan facilitates the purchase of real estate with greater transparency.We seek an Engineer who is passionate about solving a wide range of interesting problems, excels at leading the investigation and solution of performance bottlenecks, planning and executing large-scale refactoring or creation of new frameworks.If this sounds like your kind of thing, what are you waiting for?Responsibilities:Help shape the technological roadmapDesign & implement solutions for the team’s most challenging technical issuesAdvocate and improve coding standards in the team, including design choices, testability, and monitoringContribute to the team’s culture, adoption of frameworks and best practices, work processes, and other performance-enhancing mattersOur Tech stack:Languages / Frameworks: Node.js & Typescript, gRPC, GraphQL (using Apollo), Java, Clojure.Data Storage: ElasticSearch, Redis, PostgresQL + PostGiS, MySq,Processing pipelines: SQS, AWS, Kubernetes + Helm + Skaffold, CircleCIRequirements:5+ years of proven experience developing large-scale software using an object-oriented or a functional language2+ years of proven experience with Node.js and TypescriptExperience with system designAbility to design and develop complex components independently, dealing with advanced architectural issuesGood Knowledge of web application architectureHigh level EnglishExperience with microservice architecturesA problem solver with a Can Do attitudeB.Sc. degree in Computer Science / EngineeringExperience learning and working on existing large code-bases - a significant advantageExperience with B2B and B2C - advantageHybrid work model:Yes
