Mobile Application Software Manager

Cardo Systems, the global market leader in wireless communication systems for motorcycle and ski helmets, is seeking a talented and hands-on Mobile Application Software Manager to join our growing R&D department. Full-time position based at our headquarters in Ra'anana, reporting to the VP of R&D.

As Mobile Application Software Manager, you will report to the VP R&D and lead several distributed teams responsible for Cardo’s consumer and OEM mobile apps. Your mission: turn our mobile group into an AI‑first powerhouse that delivers intuitive, data‑driven experiences for riders worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership – Define and execute a unified mobile vision across B2C & B2B (OEM) products, aligning with product, design, hardware & cloud stakeholders.
Team Management – Mentor, hire and develop 25–40 engineers & tech leads split between Israel and offshore locations; foster an inclusive, high‑performance culture.
AI‑First Transformation – Partner with Data Science to embed on‑device ML, personalization and predictive capabilities into every release.
Architecture & Quality – Oversee native Swift/Kotlin codebases, enforce clean architecture, and scale our automated test & release pipelines (Bitrise/GitHub Actions, XCTest, Espresso, Fastlane).
Release Excellence – Own end‑to‑end mobile lifecycle (beta, phased rollout, crash analytics, A/B experiments) and ensure flawless App Store & Google Play submissions.
Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with Hardware, Cloud, QA and Customer Success to guarantee a seamless helmet‑to‑cloud experience for riders.
Metrics & Analytics – Define KPIs (retention, crash‑free sessions, feature adoption) and use data to guide prioritization and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

5+ years managing mid‑sized mobile engineering teams, including remote/offshore groups.
Deep hands‑on knowledge of Swift, Kotlin, Xcode, Android Studio, Core Bluetooth / BLE, and modern mobile architectures (MVVM, Clean, Jetpack).
Demonstrated success shipping high‑scale consumer apps (1M+ downloads) and/or white‑label OEM solutions.
Solid grasp of CI/CD, automated testing, mobile DevOps and release‑management best practices.
Experience driving cross‑functional projects and influencing senior leadership.
Excellent English; Hebrew a plus.

Bonus Points

Proven track record integrating AI/ML models or on‑device inference (Core ML, TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch Mobile).
Familiarity with Flutter, React Native or other cross‑platform stacks.
Background in connected‑device or IoT ecosystems (BLE, Wi‑Fi, OTA updates).
Expertise with mobile analytics platforms (Firebase, App Metrica, Amplitude).
