Backend Developer

DESCRIPTION

Abra R&D is looking for a Backend Java Developer!

This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave (approximately 6 months), where you’ll work on a smart, complex system used by leading insurance companies and banks around the world.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain backend features in a large-scale Java application
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Work with RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services
Develop unit and integration tests to ensure robustness and reliability
Participate in design reviews and maintain high code quality through best practices
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving real-time customer issues



REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have Requirements

4+ years of proven experience as a Backend Developer
Proficiency in Java

Advantageous Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent military service experience
Experience working with relational databases (advantage: JPA/Hibernate)
