Accounting Manager

About the Role
We're looking for an Accounting Manager who will work closely with our US team. This individual will own Israel's site financial reporting and various accounting processes and support our consolidated accounting and reporting functions. The perfect candidate will be a detail-oriented, versatile, hands-on manager with a strong desire to build, improve, and lead processes and controls to support Houzz’s operations.
This is a hybrid role requiring regular in-office attendance at our Tel Aviv office. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the Tel Aviv office as required.
What You'll Do

Management of the monthly/quarterly/annual accounting close process (local, US, and consolidated global)
Review monthly financial statements and trend analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy of results in accordance with local regulations and US GAAP and compliance with internal policies
Ensure account balances are fully reconciled, and manage the preparation of financial results in a timely manner
Work closely with the company's external auditors and coordinate quarterly reviews (if applicable) and annual audits
Support international annual compliance and manage financial audits for entities in Taiwan and Israel
Support all aspects of accounting management (billing, operations, reporting, tax, etc.)
Oversee local payroll processing and tax filings in coordination with HR and external providers
Ensure that detailed accounting documentation is compiled and maintained in support of relevant legal, regulatory, and audit requirements
Prepare US GAAP management reporting package for US consolidated statements purposes
Prepare monthly US GAAP upload file with GL details or work with outsourced bookkeeping firm to capture US GAAP information in NetSuite
Initiate and develop key financial policies and procedures, including implementing and ensuring local compliance with global policies

At a Minimum, We'd Like You to Have

CPA with Big 4 experience - MUST
5 + years of accounting experience, 2+ years as an in-house controller/manager
Experience as an accounting manager in an international company - reporting to US headquarters
Excellent knowledge of US GAAP
Graduate of a leading university
Familiarity with NetSuite and Ramp
Strong English skills - both oral and written
