DevSecOps Engineer

As a DevSecOps Engineer at Via, you will be a key member of the team, responsible for security infrastructure, automation, and streamlining secure pipelines within Via’s cloud environment.

What You’ll Do:

Define and implement cloud security infrastructure solutions using industry-leading tools
Collaborate with other engineering teams to create, implement, and manage security products and infrastructure utilized across the company
Set up and customize log management, orchestration, and response systems
Operate and manage SecOps infrastructure and automation
Play a key role in evaluating, maintaining, and tuning security products
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for security operation automation workflows
Continuously improve SecOps capabilities and lead new innovations
Promote a strong security culture driving security awareness and best practices and continual improvement across the business
Drive the implementation of countermeasures, mitigations, and containment strategies

Who You Are:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
Minimum of 2 years experience as a security engineer or in a similar role
Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages
Experience with SIEM/Log management engineering
Experience with scripting and automation of SOAR/No code automation playbooks (advantage)
Ability to quickly learn and adopt new security technologies and tools
A team player with strong self-management, prioritization, and multitasking skills
Familiar with public cloud platforms and SaaS security solutions (experience with AWS is an advantage)
Independent, self-motivated, and able to take ownership of tasks
